As a project manager, my designed projects leveraging work management tools like Asana have reached millions across the world on platforms like TikTok, Instagram & Twitch, and in-person at venues like SAP Center, Tech CU Arena and Santa Clara University for major brands like the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.
Founded and grew the San Jose Sharks' official esports brand.
I launched SJSharks Gaming on February 1st, 2023, by breaking an official Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon of an EA NHL videogame alongside Carlo "CarPig" Picchietti. The record currently stands at 24 hours & 12 minutes of consecutive gameplay. This event was broadcast live on San Jose Sharks Twitch from SAP Center in benefit of Elevate Tutoring, a STEM education program for financially in-need students based out of the Bay Area.
I designed an entire theme night on behalf of the San Jose Sharks, featuring an array of video game-themed giveaways, activities, activations and promotions for over 15,000 fans to enjoy. This included: Tech Tattoo sticker giveaways, themed in-arena presentation, a Super Mario-inspired SJ Sharkie skit, concourse arcade games & an exclusive NFT. Alongside Aramark I also designed apparel and specialty food & alcoholic beverage offerings for this night.
I managed the SJSharks Gaming content creation team — Carlo "CarPig" Picchietti, Rahil Vydelingum, Brontë Beggs, Matthew Di Iorio, Christo Vasilakos, William Tanguay & Nikolas Kritikos. This team made digital content across EA Sports NHL, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite & more. We generated nearly $400,000 USD in earned media value per year with over 60,000,000 annual impressions.
I directed the largest team-based EA Sports NHL competition of the year, the SJSharks Gaming Pacific Cup Presented by WD_BLACK, for thousands of players & fans across the United States & Canada. This tournament featured $100,000 USD in partnership-driven cash prizing since inception in 2021. An in-person Live Final was broadcasted from Santa Clara University in April 2023, featuring the official New York Islanders Gaming Team.
The SJSharks Gaming Pop-Up Stand brought the excitement of video gaming directly to fans at select San Jose Sharks & San Jose Barracuda events throughout the season. Events included the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic, 2024 Sharks Draft Party, 2024 Prospects Scrimmage & select AHL games. Thousands of young fans & their families engaged with games such as EA Sports NHL, Gang Beasts & more.
SJSharks Gaming merchandise was sold exclusively at the Sharks Pro Shop. This collection featured shirts, hats, hoodies & more designed by the San Jose Sharks graphic design team.
